Our Lady of the Snows Church in Clarks Summit recently hosted a Centennial Strawberry Festival as part of the events to mark the church’s 100th anniversary.
Chalk and Walk Downtown Scranton, a project of Scranton Tomorrow sponsored by the Lackawanna Bar Association., will be held Friday, August 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. This free family- oriented event will offer participants the opportunity to express their creativity in chalk. Artists will also create works of art for all to view. Susquehanna County is celebrating its 200th anniversary and the Harford Fair is in its 153rd year. There is a rich heritage linked between the two. For several years, the directors of the Harford Fair have discussed the possibility of establishing a museum to display items specific to Susquehanna County. This is the year it will happen.
